Terms of Service
Last updated: March 9, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SpiderRating ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. SpiderRating is operated by SpiderShield ("we", "us", "our").
2. Service Description
SpiderRating provides automated, deterministic security ratings for AI tools including MCP servers, Claude skills, and other AI integrations. Ratings are generated through static analysis and are informational only — they do not constitute a guarantee of security or safety.
3. User Submissions
When you submit an AI tool for evaluation, you represent that you have the right to share the repository URL and that the submission does not violate any third-party rights. Submissions are subject to rate limits (10 per day) and automated scanning.
4. Ratings and Scores
SpiderRating scores are generated algorithmically and represent our automated assessment at a point in time. A high score does not guarantee that a tool is free from vulnerabilities. A low score does not necessarily mean a tool is malicious. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but provide no warranty regarding the completeness of our analysis.
5. Intellectual Property
The SpiderRating scoring engine (TeeShield) is open-source software. Rating data, badges, and the SpiderRating name and logo are the property of SpiderShield. You may use rating badges in your project README as described in our badge documentation.
6. Limitation of Liability
SpiderRating is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on our ratings. Use the information at your own discretion and supplement it with your own security assessment.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
